Opatija, Croatia

Finally in Croatia, which I have been longing for.... It's truely more beatiful than I or Paul could have imagined. We arrived in Opatija, a health resort town on the Adriatic Sea developed in the late 1800s. It is popular due to its great climate, being sheltered form the wind, and the forest relfects into the water making it a sparkling green color. We played beach volleyball, went running admiring the colonial style mansions, and then on a walk along the waterfront finding secluded coves to lay out at. At the end of the day we boarded the cruise ship in Rijeka where we had a 1st class cabin with a sea view. We drank a bottle of Croatian white wine as we watched the sunset. Tomorrow at noon we will arrive in the Island Korcula.

It is better than I even imagined! :) I hope you are finding it easy to use and helpful with communicating with friends and family. As for me (and the wine club), Jacquie is staying on top of checking this so we can all feel like we're there with you guys! Be safe and keep having fun for all of us! Sending love from SD!
