Volcanoes formed these structures called fairy chimneys and in 4AD humans began living in these caves. Check out that caveman above dragging his woman into his cave! Goreme, where we stayed in a cave hotel, was like Disneyland with cute shops and restaurants (we loved it). The next day after exploring we were hitchhiking and Mustafa (a local that was born in a cave there) picked us up and took us to his vineyard. He was so kind and giving. Just an amazing person who likes to show tourists a good time. Mustafa gave us Turkish tea and local wine as we watched the sunset over the valley. Then he made a spicy eggplant dinner and lastly danced to Turkish music before driving us to our hotel. Check out his place in the photo below.
