A very sweet couple, Phillipe (Paul's friend from France he met travelling in 1999 who is a teacher at a french school here) and his wife Shova (an artist from Bangladesh) and their beautiful daughter, Melissane, have hosted us for 6 nights at their home in South Dehli. Shova is a wonderful cook and has treated us to Indian and Bangladeshee cuisine. Shova took me shopping and I have some Indian designer clothes now. Unfortunately, we got Dehli belly with 104 degree temperature for 3 days and they took care of us. Thanks so much!

Delhi is one of the most polluted cities and you can trust the air because you can always see it! The smog is everpresent and everyone has a smoker's hack. (ex: 1,000 cars are added to the road everyday). There is trash everywhere! The people living on the streets bathe in the disgusting cesspool fountains at the Parliament House. Yes, we almost got scammed 6 times at the railway station, but were smarter than the touts and finally found the tourist bureau office 2 hours later. Undercover touts posing as helpful samaritans lied to us and sent us on wild goose chases around the station and across the street. We lost it a couple of times! Exhausted, we took a fabulous 1 hour city tour in a bike rickshaw and jumped on the metro to escape Old and New Dehli and go back to the wealthy suburb of South Dehli where we have been staying.
The only way to get through Old Delhi...
