We noticed walking around in Rajasthan that there are no women in public. The descrimiation against women in Rajasthan is widespread and common. The hotel operator treated Eileen like a low caste member due only to her sex. There is a 50% literacy rate for men and only a quarter of women can read and write. Most women are married and have babies by age 15 and then are secluded in their home, not to be seen in public. According to the newspaper, of the 75 million malnourished kids in India, 75% were girls. There is a declining sex ratio in India with less and less girls each year. There were 25 million more men than women in 1990, by 20007 that number was 50 million. Overall in India, 25% of the girls do not reach age 15. There are numerous laws to prevent selective abortion (6 million girls killed last year), sexual exploitation, domestic violence and dowry but none are implemented. There are no laws that you must send your children to school. For every year beyond 4th grade that girls go to school, family size shrinks 20%, child death drops 10%, and wages rise 20%. 2 she camels, Bharatpur fort moat is more effective now with killer algae
