Ljubljana is one of the most romantic mountain towns we have been. Cobblestone streets along the Sava River lined with hip cafes and lounges. Roman city walls surround the town and the buildings are Art Nouveau with lots of art galleries. On Sat we ran around the forested park, hiked to a castle where numeous wedding parties were having champagne toasts, we had a picinic lunch inside the castle, and lastly walked around a street market tasting wine, cheese, olives, and salami. What a nice day! Our favorite Slovenian food is the BUREK, which is pizza inside a buttery pastry croissant and favorite beer is Crni Baron.
