We returned to İstanbul and Paul's brother, Ross, joined us for the weekend. Our last hoorah in Turkey. On our second trip back, İstanbul feels like home. We bought our last turkish delights today- a gummy sugar candy with nuts that tastes great with a hot cup of Turkish tea. The locals are so accommodating largely without exception even when they know we are Americans. We feel safe and at home eventhough we can't speak more than a few words in Turkish! Cruising the Boshorus, visiting the Dolmabaçe Palace, looking at thousand year old mosaics in the Aya Sofia, drinking rakı, and doing some last minute shopping at the Grand Bazaar is how we spent our last days here. It's been a Turkish Delight!
