Golf, golf, golf...

The Fancourt Golf and Country Club Estate pictured above was rated top one of the top ten golf courses in the world in 2004! The grounds are just gorgeous and I love just walking around and having lunch there. Golf is a very popular sport in this part of Africa and since Wayne is a scratch golfer, Paul has been playing golf on every possible sunny day. He has been to Kingswood, Fancourt (Bramble Hill), George, and Oubaii golf courses in and around the George area. Oubaii is a course along the Garden Route where you play on the cliffs of the sea and the countryside. Oubaii is pictured below and we had a nice lunch by the pool. Everybody knows, one of the best golfers in the world is Ernie Els and he is from South Africa. Our friend, Brett, was a caddy for him for a year and said he's an entertaining guy who likes to drink. He has a wife and 2 kids and a house in Herold's Bay, just a few miles from where we're staying. We saw his Dad last Friday at the beach party!
