Cooking class in Varkala

Our 2-hour cooking class by chef, Faisal, was amazing. We made 5 dishes- an appetizer called pakura (fried dumpling chickpea flour): vegetable kurma; chapatti (like a tortilla); chicken tikka masala, and coconut rice. With our love of Indian food, this was definitely some of our best money spent on this trip and we can't wait to make these recipes back home! The sunset below is the view from our hotel room. The fish is so fresh here and our favorite entree at Funky Art Cafe is the butterfish is baked in spicy green curry wrapped in a banana leaf.
These old beautiful Maxwell cars are all over India!

We had wine night last week and celebrated Kelly's birthday. Next month is a trip to Temecula for wine tasing! Can't wait!
