Blyde River Canyon

Blyde River Canyon and the 3 rondavels pictured above left. This is the 3rd largest canyon in the world! The tufa waterfall behind us is quite rare and made of calcium build up from the water. We went on an 11km hike too through indigenous forest up and down the canyon! We camped at a nice resort where we played miniature golf, swam, and had a lovely time. Mpumalanga area here has the world's largest artificial forests and tree farms with logging trucks tearing up all the roads.

Starting from the northern part of south africa in Limpopo and drove south to Mpumalanga and then the Free State. 600km and 9 hours in the car. Stopping for gas one time. It gets very rural and poor away from tourist towns.
